Wendell is the tinsmith of Barrelhaven and one of Lucius's tough "bar-room boys". He is best friends with Euclid. Out of all the normal villagers, Wendell is featured most throughout the series.

Like the rest of the villagers, he was fooled by Phoney and Smiley into betting on the nonexistent "mystery cow".
Eyes of the Storm[]
When he saw the Bone cousins at the Tavern again, he, like the other villagers, was furious for being hoodwinked. Lucius reminded him that they were all warned and gets to work.
The Dragonslayer[]
In the Dragonslayer, Wendell and other villagers have put all their attention to Phoney Bone's side of the bar so he can win the bet. Phoney Bone reels them in by telling them he can slay the Red Dragon.

Wendell's most notable trait is that he is prone to change his mind quickly.
Relationships[]
Euclid: He is best friends with Euclid as he is seen him more often than with any other character. Wendell also said this himself.
Lucius: He and Lucius are friends, although this put on strain during the events of The Dragonslayer.
The bone cousins: Wendell appears to be an ally and enemy to the bones, specifically Phoney for his scams on the valley people. At times he is on the bones sides, but when trouble starts that involves them he blames them for the cause.
Appearance[]
Wendell is tall, thin, with rusty colored hair and long arms. He is implied to be just as strong as his best friend Euclid despite his skinny appearance.
